Working with
Producers of WEEE
& Retail Businesses
Since January 2021, retailers of Electrical and Electronic Equipment, must provide their customers with a take-back programme that allows the return of items equivalent to those purchased from that retailer.
If purchasing Electrical and Electronic Equipment instore, the retailer making the sale must provide the customer with an in-store take-back service for the resulting WEEE, created as a result of the purchase.
If a retailer sells Electrical and Electronic Equipment online, or via a mail order service, the take-back service will still need to be free of charge, although the retailer can choose to charge a transportation fee for WEEE items collected at point of delivery for the new item.
BCMY Ltd works with leading high-street and online printer cartridge retailers, delivering a fully managed end-to-end cartridge take-back programme.
